Not all hospitals where newborns are delivered have neonatal intensive care. While transferring the babies to a neonatal facility – utmost care needs to be taken. We have a well-equipped, specifically designed transport incubator with ventilator and personnel trained in the transport and care of neonates.
We have a team of experts and well experienced health care providers to supervise and guide while transporting premature and other sick infants.
NCRI runs Neonatal Services for 3 Hospitals currently - Chinmaya Mission Hospital, Ovum Hospitals, Milann.
NCRI team handles over 500 babies needing intensive care every year
Neonatal Survival Rate
Survival rate of babies who are born at the hospitals where NCRI provides its services. We have successfully cared for many premature babies weighing just around 400 grams to 700 grams.
Neonatal Mortality refers to the number of infants (per 1000 live births) who are admitted under the intensive care but do not survive. In UK and US the rate is 3 and 4 per 1000 live births respectively. As per World Development Indicators, neonatal mortality in India stands at 29 per 1000 live births.
