Neonatal Survival Rate
Survival rate of babies who are born at the hospitals where NCRI provides its services. We have successfully cared for many premature babies weighing just around 400 grams to 700 grams.
Neonatal Mortality refers to the number of infants (per 1000 live births) who are admitted under the intensive care but do not survive. In UK and US the rate is 3 and 4 per 1000 live births respectively. As per World Development Indicators, neonatal mortality in India stands at 29 per 1000 live births.
