Dr. Praveen Venkatagiri is an eminent Pediatrician and Neonatologist with 10 years of experience in diverse cultural settings of United Kingdom and India. Dr. Praveen has worked in various prestigious hospitals in London as a Specialist Registrar and completed his CCT. He was working in Kent before moving back to India. He was conferred with FRCPCH from the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health, London. His passion is patient-centred care and encouraging parents to participate in the decision making. His interests are developing interventions in the antenatal and perinatal period which can have significant impact on new-borns health. He has been a part of several research projects and enjoys teaching doctors and nurses.
Dr. Adarsh Somashekar
Dr. Adarsh Somashekar is an alumnus of Royal College of Pediatricians (2004) and holds a Master degree in Pediatrics from Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal University (2001). His career spans over a decade spent in clinical pediatrics in India and United Kingdom. He has worked in internationally renowned hospitals such as Freeman hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne. He has also worked as a consultant Pediatrician at Cradle Hospital (Apollo group) in Bangalore. He is also a founding member and CEO of “Neonatal Care & Research Institute Pvt Ltd”, an organization involved in the care of new-born and premature new-born babies.
Dr. Venkat S. Reddy
Dr. Venkat S. Reddy is a member of “Royal college of Pediatrics and Child health” and holds the prestigious MRCPCH (London) degree. Dr. Venkat has completed his MBBS from Mysore Medical College and obtained his postgraduate DCH degree from Manipal University. After completing his postgraduation in India, Dr. Venkat has worked in United kingdom for a decade and has worked in various hospitals in UK including St. Guys and Thomas Hospital, London. Dr. Venkat has rich clinical acumen with insights in Pediatrics practice both from India and abroad. He is well versed with Neonatal Intensive care practices and proficient in using nitric oxide and different modes of ventilation. Dr. Venkat is passionate about teaching, training and participated in various teaching programmes. He has completed advanced courses in Pediatrics and Neonatology Advanced Life Support.

Dr. Ravi Swamy
Dr. Ravi Swamy is a Paediatric Consultant in Neonatal Medicine at Dr Malathi Manipal Hospital, Bangalore and an Honorary Research Associate at Imperial College, London.He is trained in Paediatrics and Neonatology from United Kingdom. After completing his clinical training in Neonatology (CCT following Neonatal grid training), Dr Ravi worked as a Neonatal Consultant at the Royal London Hospital before moving back to India. He also has done research training in Neurodevelopmental outcomes in children. Dr Ravi Swamy is an MBBS graduate and has obtained Master of Doctorate degree from Newcastle University. He has the Fellowship of Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health and Membership of Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health. He is very keen on teaching and has completed training the teacher courses. Dr Ravi Swamy has been trained on the Bayley-III by Mrs. Betty Hutchon (Master Trainer Pearson, United Kingdoms).
Dr. Chandrasekhar obtained an MD Pediatrics degree from JSS Medical College, Mysore and then underwent fellowship training in Neonatal Intensive Care at Manipal Hospital, Bangalore. Following this he underwent a structured training program in Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care at John Radcliffe Hospital, the prestigious Oxford University Hospital, UK.
He has expertise in management of extremely preterm neonates with various medical and surgical conditions. He is well experienced in carrying out retrievals of sick & extremely premature babies. He is passionate about ensuring high quality of care to the patient.
Dr. Sachitra A S
Dr. Sachitra A S is an alumnus of Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College from where she pursued her MBBS degree . Thereafter, she did her post graduation in Pediatrics from JSS Medical College after which she was awarded the Diploma in National Board degree in Pediatrics from Manipal Hospital, Bangalore.
Her special interest areas being Neonatology, development and high risk newborn follow up. Dr Sachitra’s career spans over 6 years of hands on experience in the field of Pediatrics & Neonatology. Dr. Shanthi Reddy
Dr. Shanthi is a physician with special interest in the health care of the new-born and children. After graduating from Russia, she has pursued postgraduate training in pediatrics at Manipal Hospital under Kathmandu University.
During her postgraduate training, Dr. Shanthi discovered her passion in the treatment of sick new-borns and hence worked in the tertiary neonatal intensive care for more than 3 years. During this period she had developed expertise in various life-saving procedures and treatments of term and preterm infants. She has exposure in of management of infants on different modes of ventilator and usage of nitric oxide.
Gentle but thorough professional by nature, Dr. Shanthi strives to provide patient centric and empathetic care. At Ovum hospitals, she pursue her interest in the intensive care and health care of new-born.
Dr. Vimal Kumar U
Dr. Vimal Kumar U is an alumnus of Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, from where he got his MBBS degree. Thereafter, he was awarded Diploma in Child Health from M S Ramaiah Medical college, Bangalore . His interest in treating his little patients did not end here. Dr Vimal has also undergone Diplomate of National Board training in Pediatrics at Holy Family Hospital & research Centre , Mumbai.

Dr. Prabhu M
Dr. Prabhu’s career spans over 7 years of experience in the field of Pediatrics and Child Health. Dr Prabhu has worked at various renowned hospitals like Cloudnine hospital ( Junior Consultant for 18 months) where he was awarded the Best Doctor of Cloudnine hospital group in the year 2013. Then, he was heading the Neonatal units across the city associated with Milann Infertility centre for the last 18 months. Neonatal Survival Rate
Survival rate of babies who are born at the hospitals where NCRI provides its services. We have successfully cared for many premature babies weighing just around 400 grams to 700 grams.
Neonatal Mortality refers to the number of infants (per 1000 live births) who are admitted under the intensive care but do not survive. In UK and US the rate is 3 and 4 per 1000 live births respectively. As per World Development Indicators, neonatal mortality in India stands at 29 per 1000 live births.
